Breathless, speechless, priceless times are being had across the ocean, with loads of love overflowing from lots of us here-- you simply must see pictures of sweet Dariya --her first sight and delight with her PARENTS!!!
We bought haircuts for Neva and me at Dariya's auction about a month ago, where just a few dollars more than what they needed to have complete funding was raised! It was a little nutty, since the haircut place was the complete opposite direction of the camp the big kids have been going to, but we ended up needing to schedule both cuts today, but NOT at the same time.
So...in the very VERY brief open space between 2 trips to the western chunk of our spot in the metro for daycamp, 2 trips to the southeast chunk for hair (coming within half a mile of running out of gas, of course), one music meeting, one quiznos-anniversary lunch, and a li'l catnap... I checked on Rochelle's blog and WHOA!!! there she was! Finally they get to hold their precious, long-awaited, deeply loved little darling! So it was really neat to go back to the stylist and tell her that TODAY was the day they met the little girl she helped bring home!
It has been such an honor to witness this amazing journey our friends are on, and we cannot wait to meet and hug dear sweet Dariya ourselves!

ReplyDeletei am so inspired by Dariya's story and Reece's Rainbow through your blog. {We even emailed about a waiting child last week.} Still praying for direction, we haven't started any processes yet, but you and other adoption advocates are planting seeds in our hearts. keep it up, friend!
